John David Treadgold

The Very Rev John David Treadgold, LVO is an eminent Anglican priest in the late 20th and early 21st centuries.
Born on 30 December 1931 [1] and educated at the University of Nottingham, he was ordained after a period of study at Wells Theological College in 1960.[2] He was the Vicar Choral at Southwell Minster [3] and then held incumbencies at Wollaton and Darlington.[4] A Canon at Windsor, he became Dean of Chichester in 1989, retiring in 2001. A recently carved gargoyle at Chichester Cathedral was inspired by his face.[5]. He continues to conduct services in the Chichester Diocese and beyond.
